GENERAL

 

ParcelUK is not responsible for any consignments that arrive incorrectly described by either sender or recipient.
 

Neither party shall be liable for any default due to any act of God war strike lock out industrial action fire flood drought tempest weather or any other event beyond the reasonable control of either party

 

ParcelUK or any other name that we trade under, which had been requested to collect and deliver parcels/pallets on a particular date, but failed to do so on this date, cannot be held liable for any loss of earnings that may be incurred.

 

ParcelUK is not a common carrier and any courier company acting on our behalf, reserve the right to refuse to collect any parcels or items.

 

ParcelUK offer no liability whatsoever for any consequential loss incurred relating to any claims for loss damage for all parcels, or for failure of collection/delivery times/dates.  We offer no liability whatsoever for the cost of  packaging of the parcels.

 

 

 

CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS

 

1)       Payment must be made in full before any consignments can be collected.

 

2)       Each parcel in the consignment must have all correct dimensions and weight declared when ordering.

 

3)       All dimensions and weight declared by the customer must be stated including packaging.

 

4)    All items which may contain any liquids must be completely drained prior to collection.

 

5)       If any dimensions or weight of parcels differs to information originally declared by the customer, ParcelUK reserves the right to charge the customer for any excess costs required for delivering your consignment.  (minimum charge of £85 + vat for any item not declared but found to be over 2.49 metres)

 

6)       All parcels must be securely and safely packaged.  For advice on this please click here.

 

7)       Goods must adhere to our Prohibited Freight list.  Click here for Parcel Pack/Door2Door or click here for Pallets to check your items are not on this list.

 

8)       Any items sent which are on our prohibited list will not be covered for any liability whatsoever.

 

9)       ParcelUK are unable to offer any liability on items from auction sites/shops, 2nd hand items, damaged items which are being returned to supplier, vehicle panels, any items containing glass or items being sent for repair. Click here for further No Liability Items on the Parcel Pack/Door2Door service.

 

10)    Each parcel in your consignment must be labelled clearly and correctly to whom it is being delivered to including company name (if applicable), contact name, address and postcode.

 

11)  Collections and Deliveries to or from government or lost property departments are not guaranteed.

 

12)  We cannot collect or deliver to any PO Boxes.  The correct address is required.

 

13)  If orders are placed over the phone, a terms and conditions email will be sent to the person to confirm acceptance of terms.  If a reply is not responded too, and then the consignment is then collected, it will be deemed that our terms and conditions have been accepted.

 

14)  If the recipient has booked the order it is their responsibility to inform the collection address which courier will be collecting the consignment. The courier is advised to you upon completion of booking the order.

 

 

PARCEL PACK / DOOR 2 DOOR ORDERS

 

COLLECTION:

         1)    Items left unattended for collection, are done so at customers own risk.  ParcelUK accepts

                no responsibility whatsoever.

 

            2)      The customer must be in or leave the consignment in a easily accessible place for the courier

                to collect from and this must be advised on your order.  For your own confirmation it is advisable

                to personally hand over the consignment to the courier.  If the courier has been unable to

                collect  on the day selected for,  a re-collection charge of £6+vat for a wasted journey is

                applicable. Original charge is non-refundable.

 

        3)    Collection dates/times cannot be guaranteed.

 

DELIVERY:

        1)     Deliveries have a 99% success rate to arrive on time.

 

        2)    If requested that the items are left unattended on delivery, are done so at customers own risk.

                ParcelUK accepts no responsibility whatsoever.

 

        3)    If out on the first attempted delivery, we will leave a card and we will attempt a second delivery

                automatically, the next working day, free of charge.

 

        4)     All consignments must be signed for upon reaching their destination, unless stated on original

               order that item can be left by courier in the absence of the destination customer.  If carded by

               courier please follow instructions on card to receive consignment.

 

        5)    If there are two failed delivery attempts,  the recipient will then have 3 working days to collect

                the consignment from their local depot.  If the recipient has not collected the parcel from their

                local depot, the parcel will automatically be delivered to the recipient and if no one in, it will then

                be left with an immediate neighbour or left safe at recipients address. These further attempts

                will be charged at £6+vat per attempt.

 

        6)     The customer paying for order is responsible to ensure that the recipient to the consignment has

                been informed to inspect the packaging before signing.  If the packaging has been damaged the

                customer may refuse the consignment or accept the consignment and sign the word

                'DAMAGED’ on the Proof of Delivery form.  If 'DAMAGED' has not been marked on Proof of

                Delivery form then a claim is not possible.

  

 CANCELLATION OF ORDERS:

                1)    Cancellation prior to the day of collection will result in a minimum charge or 10% of total

                        order value.

 

                2)    Once an order has been booked and a change of collection address is required prior to day of

                        collection, a fee of £6+vat is applicable.  If a change of collection address is required on the day

                        of collection a fee of £6+vat is applicable for a ‘Wasted Journey’.

 

                3)    Once an order has been booked and a change of delivery address is required prior to day of

                        collection, a fee of £6+vat is applicable.  If a change of delivery address is required after

                        collection and prior to delivery, no refund is due and a full fee will be charged as this has to be

                        re-booked a a totally new order.

        1)     Parcels which way 25 Kilos and over must have assistance available at collection and destination

               address.

 

                2)     ParcelUK reserves the right to cancel an order prior to collection if the consignment is deemed

                       not to match ParcelUK’s specifications.  A refund will apply.

 

        3)    Standard liability is £10 per gross kilo or to the cost price value of the item (whichever is

                lower), for Door 2 Door/Premium and Parcel Packs by air (international) or by road.  If the

                consignments value exceeds liability we advise you seek additional insurance from an insurance

                company of your choice.

 

        4)    ParcelUK offer no liability whatsoever for any consequential loss incurred relating to any

                claims for loss damage for all parcels, or for failure of collection/delivery times/dates.

                We offer no liability whatsoever for the cost of  packaging of the parcels.

 

        5)    ParcelUK can take extra payment from customer cards, if they have underestimated the weight
        and/or dimensions or have selected an incorrect collection and/or delivery address.

 

CLAIMS:    

1)       All parcels must be inspected upon delivery before signing.  No claim can be processed unless signed for as ‘DAMAGED’.

 

2)       No claims can be processed on our prohibited freight list and our no liability list.

3)       If a claim is appropriate, please contact ParcelUK within 24 hours of the consignment being delivered.  Failure to do so will result in no claim being able to be processed.

 

4)       All claims are passed on to the relevant courier company and take a minimum of 12 weeks as full investigations will be needed.

 

5)       To process a claim you will need to provide:

  • A copy of the cost price receipt

  • A manufacturers documentation containing full description, including, the weight &
    dimensions of the item.

  • A signed statement declaring a full description of the packaging surrounding the consignment and damage (if any).

 

6)       NO claim can be processed for carriage costs or for any loss of earnings for failure of collection or delivery and we offer no liability whatsoever for the cost of  packaging of the parcels.

 

7)       Our Parcel Packs & Door 2 Door services standard liability cover is at maximum £10 per gross kilo or to the cost price value of the item, (whichever is lower), should your claim be successful and terms & conditions complied with. International Orders are a maximum £7 per gross kilo should your claim be successful. 

 

8)    Items which have been collected but have not been delivered (lost by the courier) claims must be reported to ParcelUK within 24hours of specified delivery date. 

 

9)    This information must be received by ParcelUK within 3 days from the date actual date of delivery.     Failure to do so will result in no claim being able to be processed.

 

 

 

 

PALLET ORDERS

 

COLLECTION:

        1)     Items left unattended for collection or delivery, are done so at customers own risk.  ParcelUK

                accepts no responsibility whatsoever.

 

        2)    If the courier has been unable to collect on the day selected,  a re-collection charge for a wasted

                journey of £20+vat (per pallet) is applicable.  Customer must call us for a date for re-collection. 

                Original charge is non-refundable.

 

        3)    If the courier cannot find the collection address they will call the contact number.  If no reply

                therefore collection failed and a charge of £20+vat(per pallet) is applicable.  Customer must call

                us for a date for re-collection.  Original charge is non-refundable.

 

        4)     Collection dates/times cannot be guaranteed.

 

        5)    All items must be Palletised and fully wrapped by the customer prior to collection.

 

      6)   Customers are responsible to ensure that suitable access is available for the collection of their
       pallet(s)

 

        7)    Assistance must be available at collection address.

 

        8)    Liability is not available on items less than 50 kilos

 

        9)   All customers are responsible to ensure that all items are wrapped and fully secured to
       the pallet(s).

 

DELIVERY:

      1)   If requested that the items are left unattended on delivery, are done so at customers own risk. 

                ParcelUK accepts no responsibility whatsoever.

 

        2)    If the courier has been unable to deliver,  a re-delivery charge of £15+vat (per

                pallet) for Full Pallets and/or £12.50+vat (per pallet) for Half and/or Quarter pallets is

               applicable. Customer must call us for a  date for delivery. Original charge is non-refundable.

 

      3)   If the courier cannot find the delivery address they will call the contact number. If no reply

                therefore delivery failed and a change of £15+vat, per pallet, for Full Pallets and/or £12.50+vat,

                per pallet is applicable. Customer must call us for a date for re-collection.  Original charge is

                non-refundable.

 

      4)    Economy delivery is between 1-3 working days.  For remote places, delivery may take up to 5
        working days.   Please ensure that recipient is available on these days.

 

        5)    Assistance must be available at delivery address.

       

        6)    Customers are responsible to ensure that suitable access is available for the delivery of their
        pallet(s)

 

        7)     The customer paying for order is responsible to ensure that the recipient to the consignment has

                been informed to inspect the packaging before signing.  If the packaging has been damaged the

                customer may refuse the consignment or accept the consignment and sign the word

                ‘DAMAGED’ on the Proof of Delivery form.  If 'DAMAGED' has not been marked on Proof of

                Delivery form then a claim is not possible.  We recommend that all customers sign the word
        'DAMAGED' on receipt of every pallet, regardless if they have inspected it or not.

                        enhanced liability has been requested, the liability if £5 per kilo (to a max 1000 kilos), or the

                        cost price whichever is less.  No carriage refundable under any circumstances relating to

                        claims. i.e, lost, damaged.
